  • Always rinse quinoa to remove its natural coating of saponin (which may make it taste bitter). To cook add 1 cup of washed quinoa to 1  1/2 cups water, a pinch of salt and cook just like rice. Instead of water you can also cook in a vegetable of chicken broth.
